"Moon Lit Sky"

Late, Late, at night
I wonder why so many died
In those fire fights
It was a moon lit sky
Just like the one we're sitting under tonight
You see a soldier never cried
When he saw his buddies die
We had to carry on and keep fighting
So that other's would survive
Late, Late, at night
I think about the jungles
And the men that lost their lives
It was a moon lit sky
Just like the one we're sitting under tonight
Now 28 years later
My wife still wonders why
I jerk and scream at night
And frankly so do I
Cause it was me,
Back in those jungles of Viet-Nam
You see a soldier never cried
When he saw his buddies die
We had to carry on and keep fighting
So that others would survive
Late, Late, at night
I dream about the MIA's
And the one's not coming back
It was a moon lit sky
Just like the one we're sitting under tonight
BACK!
