*This song is Dedicated to Mrs.
Garica*
Heaven knows we've seen
Death and destruction before
And
knowing what war does
To the body and the soul
But I'll never lose
this pride
Or forget the ones that died
Fighting in that senseless
war
And counting the days gone by
Forget me not America
I'm your
lost and forgotten son
You left us here in Viet-Nam
Oh when will you all
come
We did for you America
What others did not do
We went off to
fight your war
But never came back home to you
Heaven knows we've
seen
Death and destruction before
And knowing what war does
To the body
and the soul
Forget me not America
I'm your lost and forgotten
son
You left us here in Viet-Nam
Oh when will you all come
We did
for you America
What others did not do
We went off to fight your
war
But never came back home to you
{Mrs.
Garcia}
Mrs. Garcia is a good friend and 2nd mother to all Viet-Nam
Veteran's. I love this lady with all my heart & soul, for she is there for
any Vet who needs help. I met her back around 1987 at a Veterans Parade. She is
a "Gold Star Mother" and still waits for the return of her Son, Lcpl JULIAN
ESCOBEDO JR. to come home from that war. He was listed as MIA in 1969 after a
helicopter crash, with no survivors. The other crewmembers bobies were
recovered, but JULIAN'S body was never found. I pray for you my dear lady, that
one day he will return.+
