"I went to see Dutch before he passed away"

This website is deicated to my friend "Dutch" and to his family & friends. I told Dutch while on a visit with him, that I wanted to build him a small website. To show the world what I think of my true friend and fellow warrior, who is dealing with Cancer. I spent 4 days down in South Fla. with Dutch and Doug;(Dutch's Freind)! The time spent there was so important to us all. I'm glad that we got to spend that time with one another. Dutch is one hell of a man and I'm just glad to have known a person like him. It takes one hell of a guy to be dealing with, what he's had to lately! This man would give you the shirt right off his back, anytime you needed it. We had some good talks but you could see that he tires very easy, but keeps on keeping on.

Doug and I knew that Dutch was tired, when we came back from a small Gun and Knife show that they had in South Fla. Don't get these two guys near a knife, or you'll be sorry. They both collect them and I bought two small (Kershaw) knifes while at the show, they are nice. We left the show only after 1 1/2 short hours and were heading to the house. We had planned to go fishing out in the everglades but Dutch just wasn't up to it. Thanks for the friendship & good times guys.

"FOR DUTCH"
By
2000 by Johnny Hubbs

I'm thinking about my friend today
And what life has sent his way
He's fighting for his life to live
Oh Lord, what else can he give

Cancer eats this man inside
But never will it take away his pride
The pride of serving this great land
While flying over the jungles of Viet-Nam

I'm thinking about my friend today
And what good prayer I could say
That will reach the heavens in the sky
Oh Lord, please don't let him die

Well hear me Lord he has his wings
He fought for freedom and what it brings
So that others could live free
Please God, don't take him away you see

Today I got the call that hit like the wind
But, I know now my friend's waiting for us
Waiting for us up at Fiddlers Green
A place where all cavalry soldiers go
I'll forever remember you my friend

We lost one more warrior today
I am at lost for any words to say
But, I'll pray for you day by day
And I'll pray for your family, if I may

Cancer eats this man inside
But never did it take away his pride
The pride of serving this great land
While flying over the jungles of Viet-Nam

God Bless Dutch!
MAY YOU REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND!

"TANLITC"
OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU NOW & YOUR FAMILY ALWAYS...
YOUR FRIENDS,
JOHNNY & KAREN HUBBS
